Good Thing I Like Being Exploited is the follow up to Life Behind Windows, and was my journey of rebirth following dissolution of self.

My acceptance that it is ok to get paid to make art, and that perhaps, the nobility of being poor, and struggling for scraps was not as exciting and romantic as it felt in my 20s. I came to terms with my role as a corporate artist, and allowed myself to take pride in my work, letting it inform and free my personal art to take on whatever form I chose, instead of attempting to fit into subcultural moulds.

Being an artist in a capitalist society is a difficult, and often depressing road. I have had to come to terms with the destruction of my political will in the face of what appears to be an unstoppable behemoth. That society is a mass delusion is no question, but, despite that recognition, we must all live within its confines, as this is the current magical state of life in the waking world.

Based on that realization, I have allowed myself to thread a way through it all that lets me thrive in a culture I believe to be decaying, and experience the beauty of existence in a dying world. While the struggle is real, existence is a breath in the wind, and we must feel the rush while we can.
