about

Coding My Words To Cover You was my 3rd and final full length album for Archipel, actually my last album for some time. This project has actually effected the way that I write music all the way up into today.

Coding My Words To Cover You was part of the short lived Archipel Soundtracks label, in which Pheek would randomly generate all of the parameters of an album and give it to the artist to then write. this included an album name, a concept, song titles, a list of do's and don'ts for each track, bpms, narrative prompts, all kinds of creative inspirations and creative limitations.

I thought at first that I wouldn't be able to fulfill the brief, and creatively and emotionally invest myself in the process, but it ended up being one of my most personal releases.

I've continued to practice exercises like that with my releases going forward. Every time I sit down to write music I employ the ideas introduced to me in working on my Soundtracks album, I find that it helps focus my mind and allow me to create without getting too caught up in process.
