A musical diary of the first year following the death of my partner of 11 years, Meagan Wilson. In the course of that year, I wrote 60 pieces of music, most as part of a project, pushing me to write one piece a week. I wanted to create music that encapsulated the intricate emotional process I was going through at the time.

As a result, I created a collection of mostly dark, sad, and introspective music. Often dissonant and straining, but still melodic, and beautiful with moments of hope.

The loss of a loved one can never be truly healed from, it is something that changes you and alters the course of your life forever. My hope is that this album can both communicate that feeling, in a real, visceral way, while also perhaps giving comfort to those going through similar things.

All of our suffering is shared, it is only that it is ours that it is unique. There is no home without death.
